Cody Ross signed a three-year-deal with the Diamondbacks this offseason, returning to the NL (National League) West.

Ross could’ve been an SF Giant again if the Giants chose to not re-sign center fielder Angel Pagan. Nevertheless they did, to a four-year-deal. The former Giant and 2010 postseason hero, Ross faced the San Francisco Giants for the first time yesterday in a Spring Training game in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ross left the Giants after the 2011 season to go to the Boston Red Sox. Ross got one at bat but struck out looking at a cutter from left hander, Barry Zito. Sadly, his debut against his former team didn’t go well, because they lost 5-3.
